This is the first of three related sessions on creativity. Creativity was the top wider skill you said you wanted more content on. This session covers planning for a creative life. Nick's background is in digital marketing agencies where he worked on strategy, innovation and communications projects with some of the world's largest agencies and brands from Nike to Vodafone, Sony PlayStation to British Heart Foundation and Diageo to Barclays. Inspired by Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk on creativity in education and a bunch of creatives in a corner of a field at a festival, he co-founded STEAM Co., a non-profit charitable social enterprise that 'powers communities to inspire young people with creativity'.

Alongside going to the Glastonbury Festival, one of Nick Corston's key influences was the creative educator, Sir Ken Robinson. Here Ken argues that creative work is a process, not just an event. Creativity is easily mixed up with other terms such as imagination and innovation. Creativity is not only about coming up with something new, it is also about applying critical judgment.

One of the wider skills you asked for help with was confidence. Confidence is very important for creatives, given you are pitching and producing work which others will review and interact with. Dina is a straight-talking life coach who has done a lot of work coaching creatives. Based in London and coaching worldwide she incorporates creativity, story-telling, humour and fun into her workshops.

Carol founded The Zebra Partnership in in 2000 and a boutique agency that brings together talented freelancers in the fields of publishing, campaigns, communications and event management.

We need to focus on connecting together by our natural motivations to leverage our instincts to help each other.
